What it requires.
- It established an AI Center of Excellence within GSA to speed and coordinate federal adoption of AI.
- GSA and OMB must give agencies technical insight and expertise when they acquire AI technology.
- The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy must develop a federal policy for national AI research and investment.
Why it matters. It builds the federal government's in-house capacity and policy direction for AI, shaping the environment in which contractors sell AI tools and services to agencies.
