This Privacy Policy explains how GovConCyber LLC ("GovConCyber," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit https://www.govconcyber.info, subscribe to our newsletter, submit a form, download a resource, request information, or otherwise interact with our website or online services.

GovConCyber is an educational and informational platform for U.S. government-contractor cybersecurity requirements. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the website and related online forms or services. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, tools, or services that GovConCyber does not own or control.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information received from service providers.

A. Information you provide

Do not submit confidential, privileged, proprietary, classified, export-controlled, CUI, FCI, source-selection-sensitive, procurement-sensitive, incident-response, breach, trade-secret, or contractor-sensitive information through ordinary website forms or email. Website forms and ordinary email are not designed for secure transmission of sensitive contractor information.

B. Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

• IP address;
• Browser type;

• Operating system;
• Referring and exit pages;
• Pages viewed;
• Dates and times of visits;

If we later add other providers — for example, email-newsletter delivery, scheduling, payment, spam prevention, or content-delivery/security services — we will update this Policy to reflect them.

2. How We Use Information

• Send newsletters, updates, event notices, or other communications you request or that relate to GovConCyber's educational work;

We do not use website contact information to provide individualized legal advice through public site interactions.

3. Email Communications and Newsletters

If you sign up for GovConCyber updates, we store the email address and any other details you provide. We are not currently sending a recurring email newsletter; if and when we begin, we will use your address to send educational updates, announcements, and related information, and we may track whether emails are opened or links are clicked to understand whether the content is useful.

You will always be able to unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at contact@govconcyber.info. We may still send non-marketing messages, such as responses to your requests, transactional messages, or legally required notices.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies and uses similar technologies to understand site traffic, measure which content is useful, and improve performance. The site may also use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for basic functionality and to protect the site from abuse.

You can usually adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, and you can use Google's analytics opt-out tools to limit Google Analytics collection. Some site features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

Cookie-banner status: The site does not currently display a cookie-consent banner. If GovConCyber adds tracking that requires one based on its tools and visitor geography, this section and the site will be updated.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. We may share information in the following circumstances:

A. Service providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the website, host content, process forms, provide analytics, manage security, and support business operations. These providers may use information only as needed to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by their contracts and policies.

B. Legal, security, and compliance reasons

We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, government request, or legal process; to enforce our Terms of Use; to protect GovConCyber, users, or others; to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services. Their privacy policies and terms apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or content practices of third parties.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide requested communications, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, improve the site, and protect our rights.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the reason it was collected, legal requirements, and operational needs. You may request deletion of information as described below, though we may retain certain information when permitted or required by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no website, form, email system, hosting environment, or online transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information submitted through the website or ordinary email will be confidential, secure, or free from unauthorized access.

Do not use the website or ordinary email to send confidential, privileged, CUI, FCI, classified, export-controlled, incident-response, breach, source-selection-sensitive, procurement-sensitive, or trade-secret information.

GovConCyber is intended for business, professional, government-contracting, legal, cybersecurity, and compliance audiences. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. U.S.-Based Website and International Visitors

GovConCyber is based in the United States, and the website is intended primarily for U.S. audiences. If you access the website from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact us to request that we:

• Confirm whether we have contact information associated with you;
• Correct or update your information;
• Remove you from a mailing list;
• Delete certain information, where reasonably possible and not otherwise required or permitted to be retained; or

12. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Signals

Some browsers or devices may transmit "Do Not Track" or similar signals. Because there is no uniform industry standard for responding to these signals, and because the website currently uses Google Analytics, the website may not respond to them automatically. If GovConCyber implements a consent-management tool or privacy-preference mechanism, this section will be updated to describe it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date shown on this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes may be posted on the website or otherwise communicated where appropriate.
