The Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 advanced the national Information Sharing Environment and strengthened critical-infrastructure protection, transportation security, and intelligence coordination. It expanded the legal and institutional framework for sharing terrorism-related and homeland-security information.
